Qatar Airways launches 3 new premium lounges at Doha Airport

The state-of-the-art lounge facilities, with stunning tarmac views, will provide a peaceful haven to Qatar Airways Platinum, Gold and Silver loyalty members

Hamad International Airport witnessed the unveiling of new Platinum, Gold and Silver lounges by Qatar Airways, enticing Privilege Club members and Oneworld Alliance card holders to access and experience the new lounge facilities corresponding to their frequent flier status.

The lounge facilities are state-of-the-art, and offer stunning views of the tarmac, at the same time providing a peaceful haven to Platinum, Gold and Silver loyalty members of the airline. Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire card holders will also be allowed to access and utilise the new lounge facilities. The new lounges offer a space for passengers to unwind and enjoy the best of the airlines’ amenity products from Diptyque. Passengers can also enjoy a wide range of international cuisine and a generous selection of beverages.

CEO of Qatar Airways Group, Akbar Al Baker, said that he was pleased to announce the opening of three premium frequent flyer lounges a the Hamad International Airport, just in time for the Eid holiday. He said that the new Platinum, Gold and Silver lounges underlined the airlines’ commitment to serving Privilege Club and Oneworld Alliance card holders with coveted benefits. He added that the airline looks forward to welcome passengers to the sophisticated, spacious and modern lounges while transiting Hamad International Airport, which has been rated as the world’s best airport.

The Platinum, Gold and Silver lounges provide passengers with an ideal space for relaxation and socialisation. Passengers are permitted to extend an invitation to one guest using their plus-one complimentary access. This facility is available to Platinum and Gold Privilege club members, and Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire card holders.

Qatar Airways Platinum Lounge South

Qatar Airways Platinum Lounge South is located on concourse A of Hamad International Airport, and is accessible to Qatar Airways Platinum loyalty members. Oneworld Emerald card holders will also be able to access this premium lounge. The lounge, with state-of-the-art facilities can accommodate up to 140 passengers, and is equipped with amenities like quiet areas, a prayer room, showers, a bar, and a restaurant. Dining options include a la carte and buffet, and passengers can also utilise the complimentary Wifi provided at the lounge.

Qatar Airways Gold Lounge South

Qatar Airways Gold Lounge South will be accessible to Qatar Airways Gold loyalty members and Oneworld Sapphire card holders. The premium facility lounge has a capacity of 85 passengers, and offers family seating, showers, a bar, dining area, and a full-buffet dining experience. Passengers can also avail complimentary Wifi access.

Qatar Airways Silver Lounge South

The Qatar Airways Silver Lounge South is accessible to all Silver loyalty members of Qatar Airways. The lounge was inaugurated in March 2022, and can accommodate 195 passengers. Facilities at the lounge also include meeting rooms, family areas, buffet dining and baggage storage facilities.
