Vietnam all set to build Southeast Asia’s largest solar firm

 In a statement, Vietnamese private firm Trung Nam Group announced that it will be constructing Southeast Asia’s largest solar farm in Central Vietnam.

As Vietnam works to limit its use of fossil fuels, this 450-megawatt solar firm is one step closer to double its power generation by 125-130 gigawatts in the next ten years. In an e-mailed statement, the firm mentions that a 14-trillion dong facility in Ninh Thuan province which will start its power generation later in the fourth quarter this year.

The firm also said that it would receive an approval from Ninh Thuan to build the wind farm, connected to the national power grid.  Once upon and running, the Ninh Thuan is said to have aiming for 8,000-megawatt by 2030.

Trung Nam Group administers in the energy, construction, real estate, and infrastructure segments. The firm also owns its two hydropower stations. Over the years, Vietnam has become an important destination for investment in renewable sources of energy, as the nation exploits all the four major sources of renewable energy- solar energy, biomass, hydroelectricity, and wind energy.
