Emirates NBD, a predominant banking group in the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye (MENAT) region, has collaborated with the Dubai Police for innovative paperless cash withdrawals and digitally enabled cash delivery. This initiative to transition their financial transactions would revolutionize day-to-day cash management and streamline processes for smaller, discretionary funds often used for operational expenses.
A note-worthy effort to time travel into an advanced digitalized era!
The execution of the bespoke digital solution by the Dubai police marks a significant touchtone in addressing the challenges of paper-based cash processes. It will empower them to transition away from manual methods of withdrawing small amounts of discretionary funds to a digital cardless cash withdrawal model at the ATMs of Emirates NBD and at partner exchange house branches. Moreover, it allows Dubai police to request their intended cash amounts online via Emirates NBD’s business ONLINE platform for delivery to any designated Dubai police station.

Qassim also made a point that, by being the driving force for paperless payments, they are laying the foundation for developing the region into a premier digitalized financial landscape.
The Outspoken Agenda of Shaking Hands with Emirates NBD
Major General Saif Mohammed bin Abed Al Mheiri, Director of the General Department of Finance at Dubai Police, gave a statement that their commitment to enforce Dubai’s government strategies and enrich the quality of services was the precursive instigator in forging a collaboration with Emirates NBD. By explicitly transitioning into advanced digital solutions from traditional cheque payments, they can authorize exceptional integrated solutions for clients by having diverse service channels and constant accessibility. This unique and innovative approach positions them to serve their customers with elevated excellence and legacy.
The Ever-Lasting Relationship Between Emirates NBD and the Dubai Police
This isn’t Emirates NBD and the Dubai Police’s first rodeo with each other. Earlier in 2021, Emirates NBD launched a UAE-wide anti-phishing awareness campaign to awaken the citizens and protect themselves against dangerous and ingenious ploys of fraudsters. The banking group had joined hands with the Dubai police as part of its commitment to safe and secure banking. This public service initiative was a campaign as part of the ongoing initiatives to remind customers that the internet brings the world dangerously closer and that sharing bank account details such as card number, CVV, etc., without verifying the source would result in falling prey to a cunning mind.
In 2019, Emirates NBD released a short film “It Wasn’t Me” in collaboration with the Dubai Police. The campaign was to create awareness among customers that whatever information a bank won’t ask, fraudsters will! It explained the good-minded folks the Dos and Don’ts of keeping an account as well as their identity always secured. With a mind-blowing strategy in place, the Dubai police partnered with Emirates NBD in 2014 to offer a convenient way to pay traffic fines for the bank’s credit card holders.
