MLL Telecom, a leading Internet Service Provider (ISP) has announced a seven-year contract to supply The Kemnal Academics Trust (TKAT) with high-speed broadband alongside a centrally managed firewall and content filtering.
The deal focuses on administering the upgradation of broadband connections by MLL to Gigabit Fiber for all sites. There will also be a provision of Wide Area Network (WAN) and other implementations.
Additionally, the deal involves a competitive tender process in response to TKAT’s requirement to centralize, standardize, and upgrade the delivery of internet services under the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Education Technology Framework Agreement and RM6103 Lot 3 Broadband Services.
The Kemnal Academies Trust is one of the biggest Multi-Academy Trusts in the south-east of England serving over 45 primary, secondary, and special academies in Kent, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Essex, and Surrey. With the deal, around 30 primary schools will avail 200Mbps bandwidth and 15 secondary schools will get 1Gpbs bandwidth, alongside a BT wholesale FTTC circuit.
MLL will mobilize its Carrier Integration Model and pick best wholesale providers in order to deliver fiber optic connectivity at each site which includes services like Vodafone, Virgin Media, and BT Wholesale.
