Elsewedy Cables has signed two turn-key contracts worth USD 1.76 million with Spanish Solaria Ingenieriay Construccion Fotovoltaica to supply and install high power cables and accessories for the construction of two photovoltaic solar plants in Palencia, Spain as Elsewedy Electric and its affiliates consolidate their global position as a credible and steadfast brand name.

Growing its presence in Europe, Elsewedy Electric will give a boost to Spain’s efforts to leverage renewable energy as the planet is mobilizing to drive the wave of climate change.

According to the first contract, Elsewedy Cables will source and install 220 kilo-vatt (kv) cables and accessories for the connection of 190 megawatts (mw) Anisal photo-voltaic solar plant in Palencia in northern Spain. In the meantime, the second contract entails distributing and installing of 66kv cables and accessories for the connection of Armus photovoltaic solar plant in the similar city.

The contracts involve other partners including Brugg, Emelec, and Pfısterer, who would be supplying link boxes and accessories. The cables offered by Elsewedy Cables will be assembled in Egypt.
